The Melbourne food scene is pretty amazing; with an abundance of quirky little cafes, mouthwatering restaurants, rooftop bars and more! On weekends, one of my favourite things to do is go for breakfast or brunch and today I decided to try Naughty Boy Cafe in Lygon Street, Carlton with my fiancé. And it did not disappoint!
It was pouring down rain today in Melbourne so lucky for us we got a table straight away. The staff were very friendly – the coffee was good (so good I ordered another to takeaway) and the food tasted as delish as it looked!
The interior was cosy and welcoming with a loft house vibe. It had a quirky wall painting to match their logo. By wall paintings I mean a full wall mural…

Spot the Allpresso Martini sign? It was little too early to enjoy one of those but the coffee itself did not disappoint. It’s funny as I never really associate myself going to a cafe at night with friends to enjoy cocktail but hey, in Melbourne anything goes so this may be next on my list of things to try!
I didn’t quite catch what the coffee blend was (sorry all you coffee snobs); I ordered a skinny flat white to enjoy whilst perusing the menu.
I must admit it was difficult choice but I ended up going for the Smashed Avo (yup, turning into an Aussie now) and HOW PRETTY IS IT?!
This presentation is pretty much standard in Melbs but every time I see the beautiful beetroot colour on the plate, I swoon and quickly grab my phone for a quick Insta snap (#milennialfeels).
Some of us however took a little longer to decide on what they wanted to eat…..
Loft vibes, and the very first (chuck your hair up it’s a rainy day kinda-)picture of myself on the blog. Not my finest photo but hey whose caring?! (eek!).
Have you visited Naughty Boy Cafe before? I’d love to know, and also any recommendations you have.
Thanks for reading!
