I was first introduced to Chanel products last year, when I received a lip gloss for my birthday and ever since, have been intrigued to try more products. Okay, so they are a bit pricey (not a brand to splurge on whilst awaiting pay-day) but a little luxury is always allowed!
Liquid liner is ‘my thang’ and I can’t live without it, so it made sense to invest in a good one. Don’t get me wrong I’ve tried many brands, and the Collection 2000 is still a favourite, but I do love a bit of Chanel, dahling!
Applying liquid eyeliner is often considered a very hard task, but after a LOT of practice, it becomes very easy! Typically, I tend to opt for liners such as the Ligne Graphique de Chanel which has a tapered, precise brush that’s perfect for a day or night-time look. The great thing about a brush like this is that you can achieve a more natural look for work, a girly lunch or nipping around town by applying the liner close to the lid with the tip of the brush.
For a more dramatic night-time look, it’s easy to build the intensity with a broader application and lengthier flick. Win/win!
Next up, the Ecriture de Chanel which has more of a felt-tip pen-like brush.
The Ecriture gives a beautifully consistent line from start to finish, albeit a lot thicker on application in comparison to the Ligne Grapique. Whilst I purchased the Ecriture to replace the Ligne, I feel like it’s a little too heavy for every-day and have decided to keep this for special occasions….
Both liners are pretty awesome but if, like me, you prefer a product with more flexibility in terms of application and value for money – I’d go for the Ligne Graphique!
My CHANEL collection now hosts two lip glosses, a mascara, a nail polish and two liquid eyeliner and in all honesty, I don’t see it stopping any time soon. So, if you’re struggling on what to get me for a birthday or Christmas, a new Chanel addition would be just lovely!
Have you ever tried any of these Chanel liners? Let me know what you think!
